ROAR to ALL LEOS of REGION 5!!

I'M BACK!!!

First of all, I would like to apologize to every Leo in Region 5 for not updating this blog after 2 months. Been ahem* lazy busy for quite some time. Anyways, it is time to keep you guys update of the projects around our region!!

Now, let's begin shall we?

First stop, we would like to welcome our new Omega Leo Club to our region, Leo Club of ACG Benevolent Unity(O) sponsored by Lions Club of Ampang City Garden. WELCOME ABOARD!! ROAR ROAR ROAR!! Check out all the latest updates of projects organized by Leos from our REGION.

Next will be my club's project which is the Musical Charity Concert organized by Leo Fion Tey.

Details are shown below:
Date : 27th February 2010
Time : 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.
Theme : The Revival : A New Chapter
Venue : Taylor's University College(Main Campus)
Price : RM15(Early Bird)
RM20(Door Price)

As there were two auditions being held at Taylor's College early November and this month(January) and there are some lucky performers will get their opportunity to perform in public during the event itself. So what are you waiting for? Grab those tickets once is announced!!

Moving on, as our beloved RCC, Lion Clayton Tan had discussed earlier during the 2nd RCC Meeting that the 3rd RCC Meeting will be spear-headed by Leos from Leo Club of La Salle Klang and their wishes have been fulfilled.

*To all Leo Clubs, don't forget to make a video/slideshow of your past projects starting from July 2009 till before the 3rd RCC Meeting that last up to 10 minutes MAX!! Be as CREATIVE as POSSIBLE!! As RCC Lion Clayton mentioned, is suppose to be a video to promote your leo club. Especially to alpha Leo clubs.

OK, now which OMEGA Leos are free on the 13th & 14th March 2010? Well, if you are, then why not participate in the 2nd District 308 B2 Omega Leo Conference specially for OMEGA Leos. It will be organized by Leos from Leo Club of Ipoh Unity. Interested?

The purpose and objectives of this event are:
• To train the Omega Leos to have better leadership skills in the Leo club, as well as to prepare them for the working world
• To have a fellowship and exchange of experience and ideas with the Omega Leos from other Regions
• To prepare the Omega Leos in joining the Lions clubs in the future

Our DC, Lion Alan Thoo has been talking about LEOs going green. Well, that is what gonna happen in our Region as Penang & Ipoh has already done it. Now is OUR TURN SELANGOR!!! Are you READY?? Here we go!!

This regional project is called "Eco Week Project" lead by Leo Emily Choong, Vice President 1 from Leo Club of SMK Subang Utama. This project is open to ALL Leos of REGION 5 to participate. The committees will be looking at TV1, 8TV, magazines, newspapers and other organizations to participate in this event. Moreover, the project is endorsed by Minister of Education.

For Alpha Leo Clubs ONLY:

1) Eco seminar by Lion Baki

2) Plant trees or plants in schools

3) Clean school compound

4) Make posters with recycled materials and place in canteen

5) Eco exhibition at school

For Both Alpha & Omega Leo Clubs:
1) Clean the park
2) Clean the drains around the neighbourhood / ponds
3) Plant trees or plants
4) Clean up the roadsides

This project will be held from the 22nd - 28th March 2010. Basically, we're going green throughout the week. We plan to have a talk on Going Green for each one of the participating schools by Lion Baki Zainal, we'll have go green projects in school e.g. planting plants around the school, recycling project, etc. On the 27th and 28th March, there will be a Go Green Campaign at Subang Parade, the Go Green Fashion Show and the Leo Idol. Will be announced if there are any changes or additional items.

FINALLY!! THE FINAL UPDATE!!

The Sub-district Leo Forum 2010!!

I bet many of you are curious and waiting impatiently to find out the details of it. OK, shall we? As many of you know that this year's sub-district forum will be in our state, Selangor(Happy?).

And here are the details SO FAR:
Date : 11th - 13th June 2010
Venue : Crystal Crown Hotel, Petaling Jaya
Theme : ZEAL(Zealous Energy Augments Leadership)

To all talented LEOS, here's an opportunity for you guys if your interested. Come up with LOGO design of the theme & T-shirt and you will be awarded something special during the forum itself. Interesting isn't it? Haha.
